APEX reenactment is a reenactment and Living History society focused on educating and informing members of the public about modern conflict, by way of demonstrations, displays and hands on activities. We try our best to recreate the uniforms and equipment used by militaries from post war conflicts.
APEX was created from an airsoft team that formed in 2012, when we found that while running shooting ranges at local gala's and events, that people were interested by the equipment and uniforms we had on display. This foundation slowly built into a full blown reenactment society, providing displays and educational talks. Having two veterans within the team, allows us to cover these educational aspects accurately. Not only do we cover modern warfare and post world war 2 conflicts, but we also talk about the future of warfare and concepts.
We use airsoft RIF's (Realistic Imitation Firearms) as they provide an excellent alternative to real and deactivated firearms, and enable us to get replicas of firearm types and models that might otherwise be illegal to use and buy. They also provide us with a safer way of carrying out displays, such as drills and tactics. We also use them as part of a firing range for members of the public, where we teach them the principles of safe firearms usage, and to allow the public to get hands on and have a look at the different weapon configurations used.
